Hand Embroidery - Traditional & Modern         Tutor:   Jan Simpson

Day:     Wednesdays from 15th September 2010     Time:     7.00 pm - 9.00 pm     Room:     3

Run by a Royal School of Needlework trained Tutor, this class is for anyone interested in embroidery.  Beginners, returnees and those who already enjoy the craft are welcome.  Projects will be available for all levels (some indication of skill level required should be noted when booking the course).  Anyone who wishes to do their own project (maybe kit purchased and then abandoned for lack of knowledge) is also welcome on this course.  The atmosphere will be relaxed and informal and students will gradually accumulate skills in many forms of embroidery.
N.B. Students will need to bring their glasses, magnifier etc.  Each student will need a good sharp pair of embroidery scissor, and at least one wooden hoop (one small about 6 inch and one about 9 inch would be ideal).  Details of materials for future projects will be provided in class and the Tutor can normally supply materials at a reasonable cost.

Three terms.  Fees: £75 per 10-week term plus Settlement membership.
