No previous experience necessary.  The course is aimed at those who want to get the best out of their sewing machine, from learning to thread it, to using different attachments.  Skills which will be covered include: several different seam types, inserting zips, buttonholes, inserting elastic.  Students will use commercial patterns to sew a garment of their choice, for example; skirt, trousers, shirt.  Students will have the opportunity to use specialist needles, threads and attachments.  You will be expected to purchase your own materials such as zippers, elastic, patterns and material etc.
It is envisaged that this will be a group of people who want to enjoy sewing and extend their skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
