Enrolment & Fees

This page refers to the 2011/2012 academic year.

Enrolment is through The Settlement office unless otherwise indicated.

• Advance Enrolment by Post:  Please use the Enrolment Form in the centre of the brochure (which you can download from the menu on the left), or pick one up from the office.
• Personal Enrolment:
  Students may enrol in person by attending the enrolment sessions at Letchworth Settlement on:
  • Tuesday 6th September 2011, 10.00am to 2.00pm and 7.00pm to 8.30pm
  • Wednesday 7th September 2011, 10.00am to 2.00pm and 7.00pm to 8.30pm
  Enrolments after that are during normal office hours.
• Fees:  Fees should be paid with enrolment.  Fees are charged at £75 for 10 sessions of 2 hours (or pro-rata). 
  NB Some fees are paid to tutor, as indicated on course details.
• Class Numbers:  There must be a minimum number of students for most courses.  Where numbers fall just under the 'break even' point, it might be possible to negotiate a slightly higher student fee so that the course can go ahead.

  Where any Settlement class is over-subscribed at enrolment, priority will be given to those who are newcomers or who have been attending the class for fewer than three years.  Those who have been attending for three years or more will therefore be asked to withdraw, but any spare places may be allocated between them, by lot.
