To celebrate our centenary, the Settlement commissioned former Hertfordshire County Archivist Kate Thompson to write a history of our marvellous institution.

In this wonderful book, you can learn about its early days, the powerful ethos and beliefs that gave birth to it, and the stories of some of its more interesting characters.

An excellent read and a wonderful Christmas gift for a loved one (or yourself!),we will be selling copies at the Settlement between 11am and 3pm on Saturday 24th October for £10.00.

We will of course be obeying government guidelines, so please come prepared to wear a mask, sanitise your hands, and observe social distancing. A one-way system will also be in operation.
