A Friday Night Literary Q&A evening
Fri 8 Nov 2024, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Settlement is pleased to bring together three writers to discuss the writing craft and answer questions about their work.
Jane Wilson-Howarth has practised medicine in the most remote places. Her writing has travel at its heart, whether a book offering advice on staying healthy abroad or her children’s fiction set in the Himalayas and Madagascar.
Apple Gidley writes articles, blogs, short stories and full-length fiction. Her peripatetic life draws on cultures from around the world, from places as diverse as Papua New Guinea, the Netherlands, the Caribbean and Malaysia.
Chris Burleigh’s poetry has been published in well-known anthologies. These days, he reads at open mics and literary events and gives talks about poetry. His work reflects his interest in people, love, the natural world and the human condition.
