Dear Members and Friends
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year and to formally introduce myself.
My name is Russell Friese and I officially joined The Settlement this week as manager.
My background is in education, including 25 years as a teacher, working across the age ranges from primary children to sixth form college and adults. I have held many different positions within education including Assistant Headteacher, operations manager, special educational needs coordinator, head of pastoral care and equality, diversity and inclusion officer alongside extensive experience as a teacher trainer and mentor.
I was born and raised in London and have been a Letchworth resident since 2010. In addition to my education career I have a huge passion for the arts, in particular, including previously working as a musician and running my own independent record label and music promotions business.
I am very much looking forward to working with you all.
