Membership

You need to be a Member of the Settlement if you want to enrol on a course running over a number of weeks.

You do not need to be a Member to attend a one-off workshop or event.

But please consider becoming a Member even if you do not need to be one as it is an easy way to support the Settlement – and you can Gift Aid your membership fee so we get 25% more at no cost to you!

If you are not already a Member, you will be prompted to become one when you enrol on a course.

If your membership expires during your course, you will need to renew it.  If you renew your membership early, your renewal will not start until your current membership expires.

When you are eligible for a Concession rate (aged 60 and over), you will need to take out a new membership rather than renewing you existing standard one.

Keep Up to Date

We no longer produce an annual brochure. This is simply because things change so quickly—we're always adding new courses, workshops and events, and a printed brochure can’t keep up! Not printing the brochure also helps us save on costs, so we can spend more on improving the activities and facilities we offer.

But don’t worry—getting the latest information is still easy. You can find up-to-date details of all our courses, workshops and events on our website, and we continue to put notices on the boards inside the Settlement building, just as before.

If you’d like up to date information sent straight to you, please sign up for our regular Settlement Newsletter. It’s a friendly way to stay in the loop, and we’re here to help if you need a hand with anything.
