Beautiful button holes sewing skills jane
Saturday 12 Jul, 2025 10:00am - 12:00pm

Fun times for sewists and their sewing machine at any level. Complete beginners or long time stitchers … everyone is welcome to spend a Saturday morning with us, sewing and eating cake.

We will be offering a number of Pick and Mix workshops over the Summer.

A workshop with the aim of developing your skills in machine made buttonholes and covering a button in the same fabric as your project.

You’ll learn how to place your buttonholes and where to sew your buttons in relation to them for the best appearance and fit. We’ll be making a little flex tidy to achieve these results.

Keep Up to Date

We no longer produce an annual brochure. This is simply because things change so quickly—we're always adding new courses, workshops and events, and a printed brochure can’t keep up! Not printing the brochure also helps us save on costs, so we can spend more on improving the activities and facilities we offer.

But don’t worry—getting the latest information is still easy. You can find up-to-date details of all our courses, workshops and events on our website, and we continue to put notices on the boards inside the Settlement building, just as before.

If you’d like up to date information sent straight to you, please sign up for our regular Settlement Newsletter. It’s a friendly way to stay in the loop, and we’re here to help if you need a hand with anything.
