Patchwork and Quilting – Taking your Skills further – Happy Machine, Happy Sewing
Is your sewing machine feeling a little temperamental? Skipped stitches, tangled
threads, or just not sure you’re using it to its full potential? This friendly, hands-on workshop is here to help. In Happy Machine, Happy Sewing, you’ll learn how to care for your sewing machine with simple, everyday maintenance—no technical jargon, no overwhelm. We’ll cover how to clean and look after your machine, choose the right needles and thread, understand different presser feet, and make sense of those mysterious stitch settings.
This session is all about building confidence. Come along, ask questions, and leave with a clean machine, feeling calmer, more capable, and ready to sew with ease.

Customer Information: You will need to bring with you –
* your sewing machine,
* power cord,
* foot pedal,
* bobbins,
* some cotton fabric (a couple of fat quarters or equivalent will be plenty)
* and your usual thread.
* Don’t forget your manual and a small basic sewing kit, together with appropriate accessories (cleaning brushes, the machine oil that your machine uses – if it does need oil, screwdrivers etc – all the types of things that came with your
machine from new!

She delights in guiding students to discover their own creativity, helping them stretch their skills, explore new techniques, and bring their dream quilts to life. With a B.Ed and City & Guilds Certificate and
Diploma in Craft and Design (Patchwork & Quilting), Sheena has been sharing her expertise and inspiring quilters since 2013. Her classes are full of encouragement, creativity, and hands on learning, making every one a place where ideas flourish and quilts—and confidence—take shape
