Settlement Sessions UPDATE

Last Friday saw an excellent concert from Gary Stewart, with a very happy audience as Gary began with his quirky self-penned songs before, in the second half, moving effortlessly into songs written by Paul Simon.

Next at the Settlement Sessions are local duo Elizabeth and Jameson, who will be with us on Friday July 11th.  Doors and the licensed bar open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Hannah Elizabeth and Griff Jameson first joined forces in 2016, merging their individual backgrounds of traditional folk and folk pop/rock to create a stunning acoustic folk/roots duo. They perform original songs rich in emotive storytelling and a harmony-driven sound featuring guitar, violin and exquisite vocals.

The duo has a good local following so please do book early to avoid missing out on our last concert before the summer break.

After this, music events start again in September, when for something different we have Singing Cactus (the team who brought us sold out concerts using the moniker “The Beertles”). This time they show their versatility by performing 90’s Britpop. Tickets go on sale soon, so keep an eye on our newsletters to ensure you book in good time.

Best wishes,

-Nick

Keep Up to Date

We no longer produce an annual brochure. This is simply because things change so quickly—we're always adding new courses, workshops and events, and a printed brochure can’t keep up! Not printing the brochure also helps us save on costs, so we can spend more on improving the activities and facilities we offer.

But don’t worry—getting the latest information is still easy. You can find up-to-date details of all our courses, workshops and events on our website, and we continue to put notices on the boards inside the Settlement building, just as before.

If you’d like up to date information sent straight to you, please sign up for our regular Settlement Newsletter. It’s a friendly way to stay in the loop, and we’re here to help if you need a hand with anything.
