Chinese Brush Painting – Summer Flowers and Insects
We will be looking at Chinese brush painting techniques for poppies, sunflowers, lotus flowers and adding bees, dragonflies and butterflies.

Customer Information: Anyone who has done the workshop or course before and has their own equipment, please bring it.
Everyone who hasn’t needs to bring 2 jars for water, 2 saucers or a palette to mix colours and kitchen towel to manage colour and clean brushes.
Colours, ink and paper will be provided to those who need them and brushes loaned to those who do not have them.

Bio: Marion Dearlove has a master’s degree in adult education, a City and Guilds adult teaching diploma, and has an undergraduate diploma in art and design. She started Chinese brush painting in 2001 and has studied with Chinese tutors in both the UK and in China. She began teaching Chinese Brush Painting in 2006 and has taught ad hoc classes throughout the UK. Marion is currently Secretary of the National Society for Chinese Brush Painting and Secretary and teacher of one of the regional divisions.
